Planned patient transfer

Definition

Planned patient transfer: A non-emergency patient transfer whose date and time are set in advance.

A planned patient transfer is a non-emergency transfer whose date, time, pick-up and destination are set in advance. It covers situations such as going home after discharge, trips to tests or treatment, planned transfers between hospitals and moving to another city.

After the request is received, the patient’s mobility, addresses and times are clarified, and the vehicle and team are planned accordingly.
